Walter Potrebka wall art embraces the wild side of nature. A Canadian nature photographer based in Winnipeg, he has a love for nature and wildlife that started when he was growing up on the family farm near Riding Mountain National Park in Manitoba. His interest in photography started when he borrowed his sister’s camera for a trip to British Columbia when he was 13. Seeing the natural beauty of the Rocky Mountains through the camera had him hooked. Combining these two loves is what drives Walter’s photography. He captures the beauty that is always around, from the close up of a tiny song bird, to the wide vista of the Black Sand Beaches in Iceland. Whether it is waiting for hours for a Chickadee to land on the perfect branch, or for the sun to illuminate the mountain, Walter finds patience and calm when in the out of doors. As Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, “Adopt the pace of Nature: her secret is patience”. Visit Walter on Facebook and Instagram at wpotrebkaphotography.
